Andrzej Duda officially assumed the office of the President of Poland. On May 24, he won the presidential elections after garnering over 51 percent of the votes.

WARSAW (Sputnik) – Andrzej Duda officially assumed the office of the President of Poland during a session of both houses of parliament in Warsaw, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Thursday.

Duda won the presidential elections on May 24 after garnering over 51 percent of the popular vote. His opponent in the Polish presidential elections was former President Bronislaw Komorovski.
