WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US-led coalition against the Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) has sent B-1 Lancer bombers that were carrying out airstrikes in Iraq and Syria for upgrades, US Air Forces Central Command Commander Lt. Gen. Charles Brown said on Thursday.
"The B-1s have rotated out, they’ve gone back to do some upgrades," Brown said in a briefing. "They will return to the mix."
