MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The attack, which occurred on Sunday in the Logar province's capital of Pol-e Alam, was carried out by three armed attackers wearing suicide vests who clashed with the security forces inside the court building, the broadcaster cited a Logar Provincial Council member.
According to the authorities, the gunfire lasted for about two hours, and security forces eventually managed to kill all the three attackers. No militant group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afghanistan is in a state of political and social turmoil, with long-standing Taliban insurgency and other extremist factions operating in the country.
