France’s former prime minister Francois Fillon was more convincing than the second presidential hopeful from The Republicans party, also former prime minister, Alain Juppe, during the Thursday primary debate, a new poll revealed.

PARIS (Sputnik) – Fifty seven percent of viewers said Fillon was more convincing, while 41 said that Juppe was more convincing, according to an Elabe survey conducted at the request of BFMTV.

Out of French right-wing supporters, 71 percent preferred Fillon while 28 percent favored Juppe.
