Previously, the authorities stated that 69 people had died and hundreds more were injured due to Volcan de Fuego's deadly eruption on Sunday. The Noticias 4Vision broadcaster also reported that dozens of people were missing, with over 2,000 forced to evacuate the affected areas.
On Monday, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales declared a three-day period of national mourning.
